In 1994 and 1995 I served as a consultant and jury member on an international design competition for the planning and design of a proposed new residential, research and networked eco-community on the Spanish Mediterranean Island of Mallorca. On invitation from the Ballearic government, I provided ecologically applied telecommunications concepts, and served on the jury that ultimately selected a plan presented by the British architect, Richard Rogers.
